The Ordination and Ministry of the Masoélan

In Mazonism, ordained ministers are known as Masoélans guardians of the sacred doctrine, facilitators of the sacraments, and shepherds of the local spiritual community. A Masoélan serves as a living exemplar of the faith, dedicated to guiding initiates through the process of smoothing the rough ashlar and revealing the unconditioned depth of The Intrinsic.

I. Qualifications for Ordination

To ensure the spiritual purity, moral discipline, and unyielding integrity of the ministry, a candidate seeking ordination as a Masoélan must strictly satisfy the following requirements:

1. Age: Must be at least 21 years of age, possessing the emotional maturity and life experience necessary to shepherd others.

2. Sacramental Standing: Must be fully baptized into the faith through The Sacrament of the Transfigured Vestment, having undergone the ceremonial unveiling from darkness into light.

3. Relational Purity & Marital Order:

If single, the candidate must abstain completely from premarital sexual relationships, maintaining personal discipline and mental purity.

If married, the candidate must be a man married to only one woman, or a woman married to only one man.

In strict alignment with the natural order and traditional family structure upheld by Mazonism, same-sex relationships and non-monogamous unions are strictly forbidden for ordained leadership.

4. Demonstrated Prudence & Wisdom: Must exhibit personal mastery, a smooth moral ashlar, and a comprehensive command of Mazonist theology, including the 14-Question Catechism and the practice of Anagogy.

II. Purpose and Necessity of the Masoélan

What They Are For

A Masoélan is a spiritual catalyst and administrative leader. They do not act as an indispensable mediator between humanity and God since every soul already possesses the Scintilla-Ground within but rather as a trained guide who helps initiates strip away surface noise, overcome cognitive illusions, and realize The Infinite Immediate.

Why They Are Needed

While the Intrinsic is immediately accessible to all, human consciousness is easily entangled in ego, fear, and the Ontological Trap. The Masoélan is required to:

Preserve Doctrinal Purity: Safeguard the core theology against distortion, shallow sentimentalism, or dogmatic decay.

Maintain Order & Sanctity: Ensure that the sacred rites especially baptism and ordination are performed with exact liturgical precision and reverence.

Offer Counsel: Guide initiates struggling through trials, grief, or spiritual stagnation, helping them re-anchor in their Ontic Inviolability.

III. Duties and Sacred Authority

The Masoélan holds complete administrative, pastoral, and sacerdotal authority within their jurisdiction. Their sacred authority encompasses:

Sacramental Administration: Conducting The Sacrament of the Transfigured Vestment (baptism) and solemnizing Holy Matrimony between one man and one woman.

Ordination & Elevation: Examining, vetting, and laying hands upon candidates for the deaconate or future Masoélan ordination.

Pastoral & Spiritual Care: Leading Einkehr (contemplative prayer sessions), offering spiritual counseling, and delivering theological discourses during weekly gatherings.

Ecclesiastical Discipline: Exercising prudent oversight regarding local community standards, handling disputes under the laws of Universal Karma and Prudence.

IV. Governance of the Citadel (Church)

In Mazonism, local houses of worship and gathering are called Citadels symbolizing an unshakeable fortress of truth built upon the Ground of Being.

A Masoélan governs and operates a Citadel through three primary pillars:

1. Liturgical Governance:
The Masoélan presides over weekly congregational gatherings, structuring the order of service around silent Einkehr, the reading of foundational texts, public dialectic instruction (Anagogy), and the communal recognition of Ultimate Concern.

2. Administrative Oversight:
The Masoélan serves as the chief administrative officer of the Citadel. They manage the physical facilities, oversee financial stewardship, maintain official records of baptisms and marriages, and direct charitable works within the surrounding civic community.

3. Council of Ashlars (Local Leadership):
To ensure orderly operation, the Masoélan appoints trusted, baptized lay members to assist with logistical duties, financial auditing, and Citadel maintenance, allowing the Masoélan to remain focused on spiritual instruction and pastoral care.
